Our ingestion workflow is designed for official AGMARKNET/data.gov.in observations or authentic exports, stored in PostgreSQL with commodity, variety, mandi, reporting date and source. Price tools read saved records rather than re-downloading a government dataset for every question. Background imports can update those records.

Market coverage is still being connected and validated. Workspace preview values are explicitly illustrative. The assistant should tell you when a matching market record is unavailable; a conversational explanation is not a current market quote.

What a price means

Amounts are normally INR per quintal (100 kg), as supplied by the source. Minimum and maximum are the reported range. A variety’s modal price is its reported prevailing price, not an arithmetic average. Cross-variety summaries may aggregate observations; compare the same commodity, variety, market, date and unit.

Dates, gaps and corrections

Daily reporting does not mean a real-time quote. Markets may not report every crop every day. Older stored records must keep their dates and must not be called today’s price. Missing observations are not filled with invented prices. Source data and generated explanations can contain errors.

AI and weather context

OpenAI generates conversational explanations and may call our market tools. Weather context can come from configured weather providers. An explanation is not a guaranteed prediction or trading instruction. Check important information with the mandi and the original source.

Official dataset: Variety-wise daily market prices. Mandi Bhav India is an independent service, not an official government portal. Source attribution and applicable source terms remain relevant when using or redistributing records.
